CoreGrid Workshop on
"Integrated Research in Grid Computing"

April 2-4 2008

The Institute of Computer Science of the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH) is organizing the Workshop of the CoreGrid Network of Excellence "Integrated Research in Grid Computing", which is the main annual event of the CoreGRID NoE and its main goal is to promote the integration of the European research community in the area of Grid technologies, in order to overcome the fragmentation of efforts in this area.
CoreGRID is a "Network of Excellence" (NoE) funded by the 6th Framework Programme of the European Commission. Its goal is to strengthen and promote scientific and technical excellence in the areas of Grid and Peer-to-Peer technologies. Towards this end, CoreGRID brings together a critical mass of experts from the 43 participating partners. The dissemination actions of CoreGrid include the organization of events, such as the aforementioned workshop that will take place in Hersonissos.

The Workshop invited speakers are:

    "S-Cube - A Network of Excellence on Software Services and Systems"
  • Yannis Ioannidis, (University of Athens)
    "Data and Information Searching over Distributed Infrastructures"
