Education Papers

As with the annual Eurographics conference since 2003 in Granada, Eurographics 2008 seeks proposals from participants who will share their ideas and experience in computer graphics education. Proposals may be papers, panels, or other kinds of presentation or formats.

We are particularly interested in submissions dealing with
  • The teaching of computer graphics using new pedagogies, content, or technologies, especially when the new approach has been shown to improve student learning;
  • The use of computer graphics to teach other subjects; or
  • The development of the teaching and learning community in computer graphics.
We are especially interested in experience in developing courses or curricula along the lines of the recommendations of the CGE06 workshop to meet the Bologna education structure. The workshop report may be found at http://education.siggraph.org/conferences/eurographics/2006/cge-06-report-pdf/.

Submitted papers of up to 8 pages should be formatted according to the EG publication guidelines found at http://www.eg.org/publications/guidelines. Anonymous submissions will be made electronically through the Eurographics online submission system. Accepted papers will be published in an Education Papers Proceedings, and at least one author must attend to present at an oral session in the conference. After the conference, the two best education papers will be selected for publication in the Computer Graphics Forum journal and up to two additional papers will be considered for publication in Computers & Graphics.
