Paper Submission

Authors should take into account the following:
  • All papers must be written in English and submitted in pdf format.
  • Submissions will be rejected without review if they:
    • contain more than 14 pages;
    • violate the double-blind policy;
    • violate the dual-submission policy.
  • Authors will have the opportunity to submit up to 30MB of supporting material.
These points are covered below, with more detailed instructions being given in the example file eccv2010submission.pdf.

Papers conforming to these guidelines should be uploaded to the ECCV 2010 Submission Website.

Author Kit

The author kit provides a LaTeX2e template for submissions, and an example paper to demonstrate the format. Please refer to this example for detailed formatting instructions. If you intend to use something other than LaTeX to prepare your paper (e.g. MS Word), you may refer to this Springer site. A paper ID will be allocated to you during submission. Please replace the asterisks in the example paper with your paper's own ID before uploading your file.

Instructions and Policies

Paper length: A complete paper should be submitted in camera-ready format. In the final proceedings, authors must pay a surcharge of 75 Euros for each page above the 12-page limit, up to a total of 14 pages.

Double blind review: ECCV reviewing is double blind: authors do not know the names of the area chair/reviewers of their papers, and area chairs/reviewers do not know the names of the authors. Please read Section 2 of the example paper for detailed instructions on how to preserve anonymity. Also remember to avoid information that may identify the authors in the acknowledgements (e.g. co-workers and grant IDs) and in the supplemental material (e.g. titles in the movies, or attached papers).

Dual submission: By submitting a manuscript to ECCV, the author(s) assert that it has not been previously published in substantially similar form. Furthermore, no paper which contains significant overlap with the contributions of this paper either has been or will be submitted during the ECCV 2010 review period to either a journal or a conference.

If there are any papers that may appear to the reviewers to violate this condition, then it is your responsibility to (1) cite these papers (preserving anonymity as described in Section 2 of the example paper eccv2010submission.pdf), (2) argue in the body of your paper why your ECCV paper is nontrivially different from these concurrent submissions, and (3) include anonymized versions of those papers in the supplemental material

Supplemental material: Authors may optionally upload supplemental material. Typically, this material might include videos of results that cannot be included in the main paper, anonymized related submissions to other conferences and journals, and appendices or technical reports containing extended proofs and mathematical derivations that are not essential for understanding of the paper. Note that the contents of the supplemental material should be referred to appropriately in the paper and that reviewers are not obliged to look at it.

All supplemental material must be zipped or tarred into a single file. There is a 30MB limit on the size of this file. The deadline for supplemental material is five days after the main paper deadline.

Program Chairs: Program Chairs may not submit papers to the conference.
